What's in your gym bag – and what should be? Here is the fitness gear we think should be in every gal's gym bag.
1. Water Bottle
A refillable water bottle is a must to stay hydrated. Many gyms have water fountains where you can refill your water bottle for free.
Tip: Be sure to take it out of the gym bag and run it through the dishwasher once in a while so it stays clean!
2. Good Workout Shoes
Different workouts require different foot support and protection. Make sure your footwear is in good condition to provide flexibility, balance, stability, and leverage.
3. Nutrition Bar
A quick high-protein snack is perfect for before and/or after your workout. Always stash a few in your gym bag to keep the energy up and the hangries out!
4. Face Wipes
A wet wipe is perfect to quickly clean up your sweaty face and neck when you don't have time to shower and aren't heading straight home from the gym.
Tip: Baby wipes are a good option for a quick cleanup for under arms, stomach and back.
5. Extra Shirt
Nothing gets your workout off to a bad start faster than a damp stinky top. Always stash an extra in your gym bag.
6. Closable Plastic Bags
Disposable sealable plastic bags are perfect for wet and stinky tops and socks so they don't contaminate the rest of your gym gear.
Feel fresh and clean after your workout with a quick swipe of deodorant or antiperspirant –after you use those wipes.
8. Socks or Footies
Keep the sweat off your expensive gym shoes by wearing socks to absorb the sweat.
9. Extra Panties
Great workout? Nothing is worse than getting dressed after your workout than underwear that is cold and wet from sweat.
10. Hair Care
Whether you need a rubber band, a head band, dry shampoo or just a brush, you'll probably need to do something to manage your hair during or after your workout.
11. A Būband
Of course, we couldn't forget the Būband! It's quick to put on and take off and small enough to stash away easily in your gym bag. So go ahead and wear your most comfortable sports bra to the gym – you know, the one you actually want to run errands in after – you'll have all the support you need while you're working out.
