There's a reason Debbie King is known as Supafitmama. As a multi-sport athlete, writer, ambassador, and mother, she embodies all her alter ego stands for, creating powerful connections in women's sport, fitness, wellness and culture. In addition to training to be the sprint champion in the women's 40-44 age group at the 2020 World Masters Athletics Championships, Debbie is also a strong advocate for girls in sport, taking inspiration from her teenage years. Her fitness and lifestyle writing often focuses on healthy body image, inclusion and community building.
As an experienced ambassador – she also represents Lole Women – Debbie knows what it takes to represent a brand.
“I’m excited to lend my face, voice and expertise to a platform that inspires girls and women to perform; to lead by example and show women of all backgrounds, body types, and fitness interests that they can find support in empowering communities and products like this one.”
Debbie says that, as a masters track athlete, Būband is an important part of her gear. “I wear it for hill training, treadmill runs, and high intensity conditioning workouts. I’m looking forward to the support on the track during my 60m, 100m and 200m sprint races at indoor and outdoor championship meets throughout 2018,” she says.
“The Būband has changed the way I exercise by reducing distraction. I can work through training from warm up to cool down without having to periodically cup my breasts or face away from the crowd because of the bounce during a high impact move.”
When she’s not writing, running or momming, Debbie enjoys exploring other fitness activities, downtime with her family, word puzzles, reading non-fiction, and watching Netflix.
“Also, plotting my future,” she smiles.
