The benefits of community have been well documented, from increased longevity and happiness to improved mental health and productivity.
True connection in a virtual world is becoming more and more important, which is why we at Būband want to foster our online community of amazing women. It’s a community we cherish and – believe us – relate to fully.
We know how painful breast bounce feels because, before the Būband, we endured it as well. For us, it’s so much more than simply selling a product, but offering a solution – one that we’ve tested through pregnancy, nursing, weight loss and gain, high-intensity sports and walks around our neighborhood. We get it.
Brands like Lululemon and ModCloth have mastered the art of growing and engaging an online community. As one observer puts it, Lululemon “inspires action, encourages healthier lifestyles and creates trusted conversations around the online community.” Meanwhile, ModCloth “seeks out and employs distinct, confident women, rejects the traditional reliance on (modelling) agencies, and moves beyond cookie-cutter interpretations of beauty.” We love it and our video and imagery featuring real women, not models, proves it. Our Brand Ambassadors are equally as fierce, spanning three continents and various shapes and sizes.
Both of these companies – just two examples of scores that are engaging in similar communication – put an emphasis on education, engagement and support, rather than sales, bottom lines and spreadsheets. We aim to do the same.
We believe in body-positive messaging, in an environment that supports and celebrates our achievements. We love hearing from our community, answering questions and empowering women to achieve their fitness goals without limitation.
In our bid to inspire confidence and empower women to be their true selves, we want to see photos of you engaged in your favorite active endeavor – with or without the Būband, alone or with friends and family, decked out in full ski gear or in your best beach garb. Whatever you want. Bonus points for adding why you love doing that particular activity! We’ll post (and celebrate!) the photos on social media.

We know it can be hard to be vulnerable, so we’re offering a little incentive: submissions will be entered into a draw to win a Būband.
