5 Outdoor Workouts to Try This Summer | Būband

Skip the gym this summer: put on your shades and sunscreen and head outside for a great workout! Wherever you live, there are outdoor fitness activities to get fit while you enjoy the great weather. Here are five of our favorite outdoor workouts to try this summer.

1. Yoga in the park (or on the beach or a rooftop)
Maybe you've tried yoga before... but outdoor yoga is a totally different experience than practicing yoga indoors in a studio or in your own living room. Whether you're in a big city or on the coast, there's a class for you. Most classes accommodate all levels, but check with your instructor and be sure to bring a mat and towel. 
2. HIIT 
High Intensity Interval Training alternates high intensity bursts of exercise with less intense activities and is perfect on a basketball court or playground. Design your own workout, or try one like this from DailyBurn
3. Trampoline 
Erect a trampoline in your own yard, or sign up for one of the trampoline workouts at a nearby park! 
4. Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP)
If you live near an ocean, river or lake, this fast-growing sport burns calories, tones your core and improves your balance. 
5. Hiking
Hiking isn't just for the mountains! If you're in the country, the hills or the city, lace on some sturdy shoes and find a trail! Many urban parks have paths, or your can create your own. Hiking the hills can burn more calories, but you can get a great workout on flat trails too!
